The Northern Berkshire Community Partnership for Children supports high
quality, accessible, and affordable programs for preschool aged children and
their families with the planning and oversight of the Advisory Council. The
Partnership collaborates with agencies and families to promote high quality
programs that are responsive to the needs of working parents and that enhance a
child’s healthy development and learning.
The Northern Berkshire Community Partnership is a program of the Child Care of
the Berkshires and is grant funded by the Massachusetts Department of Early
Education and Care.
Our Community Partnership:
Promotes affordable, accessible high quality child care programs
Enhancing program quality through professional development opportunities and
accreditation support
Strengthening families’understanding of early childhood education and care and
school readiness
Supporting community collaboration
Currently, the Partnership manages a professional development grant to increase
the early education and care workforce’s access to a broad spectrum of high
quality professional development opportunities. The Partnership also manages an
accreditation grant to increase quality by ensuring programs have access to the
supports needed to achieve NAEYC or NAFCC accreditation.

The Community Partnership Advisory Council
The Community Partnership Council is a mechanism for developing collaborative
relationships and partnerships that improve the quality of early childhood care
and education in the community. Our council meets monthly to engage in
conversations about Universal Pre-K, upcoming professional development, and
other topics in the field of early education and care.
